Depois de seis meses saudáveis, eu peguei uma gripe do capeta. Mas tudo bem, já passou. Ao menos eu tava inteira para ir a Leeds semana passada e ver o show da Chelsea Wolfe com colegas do trabalho. Foi bem legal, apesar de cansativo, já que fizemos bate-volta no mesmo dia... O lugar não tinha a melhor acústica do mundo, mas pudemos ver o show bem de perto do palco e ainda tivemos a oportunidade de falar (e tirar foto) com a Chelsea. :) Ela é muito fofa. E ainda achou legal quando eu disse que queria tatuar um verso de The Waves Have Come - o que é verdade, mas ainda não tenho coragem de fazer tatuagem. Fora isso, minha semana foi bem bosta... rotina e aí gripe. Mas tudo bem...

After six, healthy months, I got a hell of a cold. But it's fine, it's over now. At least I was alright when I went to Leeds last week, to attend to Chelsea Wolfe's gig with some colleagues from work. It was quite nice, even though too tiring, as we went back and forth on the same day... The place didn't have the best acoustic ever, but we could watch her play very close to the stage and we even had the opportunity to talk (and take a picture) with Chelsea. :) She's so cute. And she found it so nice when I said I wanted a tattoo with one of the verses of "The Waves Have Come" - which is true, although I'm not really prepared to get a tattoo yet. Besides that, my week was pretty lame... daily routine and then cold! But it's alright...

É assustador pensar que já é dezembro. O tempo passou rápido demais - como sempre parece passar nos fins de ano, né? Muita gente está já de olho no natal, mas, mais uma vez, eu não tenho um pingo de ânimo pra isso. Passarei meu primeiro natal sozinha, ou pelo menos longe da minha família. Ano passado eu já não tinha passado com eles, mas com a família do meu namorado, então não to assim tão chateada por isso, em si. Odeio festas em família, pra ser sincera. Só gosto da comida :P haha.. E também desencanei de amigo secreto no ano passado, porque é sempre uma bosta. Todo mundo fala coisas legais sobre as pessoas que pegaram e comigo é sempre idiotice do tipo "ah ela é alta, só usa roupa preta". Hurr. Na empresa, eles vão fazer um Secret Santa, mas é diferente.. eles só compram os presentes e deixam lá.. não tem brincadeira de revelar. Para eles não faz o mínimo sentido ficar sabendo quem está te presenteando... só os latinos parecem ter essa tradição (mexicanos, espanhóis e brasileiros). Bizarro, né?

It's frightening when you realize it's already December. Time has flew too fast - as it always seems to do by the end of the years, isn't it? Many people are already excited for Christmas, but, once again, I have no excitement about this. I'll be alone, or at least far from my family, on this Christmas. Last year I have already gave up joining their party, so I went to my boyfriend's family parties, so I'm not really upset about this, in the end. I hate family parties, to be honest. I only like the food :P haha.. And I also gave up all my expectations about secret santa last year yet.. It's always a crap. Everybody says nice things about their secret santa, but when it's me, it's always something stupid like "ah she's tall and only wears black". Hurr. In the company, they organized some Secret Santa, but it's different. They only buy the gifts and leave there. There's no revealing game. For them, there's no point in knowing who bought your gift... only the latin keep this tradition (Mexicans, Spanish and Brazilians). Awkward, huh?

Acho que, no fim das contas, a única coisa que me animou com relação ao natal até agora foi que as lojas estão com biscoitinhos amanteigados por apenas £1 hahaha... Eu amava isso. Minha vó e eu gostávamos muito daqueles que vinham numa lata. Eu achava super chique, achava que era algo super caro e refinado hehe... e aqui é super simples mesmo. Gosto disso. Comfort food dos melhores... Chá ou leite com biscoitos, mais um bom livro. :) Finalmente terminei Kafka on the Shore do Murakami também e comprei um Kindle Paperwhite, que deve chegar logo. Meu amigo me emprestou Norwegian Wood, então espero começar ainda hoje. Tenho usado o computador na cama, então tem sido bem mais confortável mudar de uma coisa para a outra haha...

I think that, in the end, the only thing that made me excited about Christmas until now was that the stores are selling butter cookies for only £1 hahah.. I loved this when I was a child. My grandma and I used to like those who come in metal cans. I thought they were so sophisticated, as if they were expensive and elegant hehe... but here it's something very simple. I like that. The best of comfort food... Tea or milk with cookies, added up to a good book. :) I finally finished reading Kafka on the Shore by Murakami and I bought a Kindle Paperwhite, which should arrive soon. A friend also lent me Norwegian Wood, so I hope I can start it today yet. I've been using my computer on the bed, so it's much more comfortable to change from the screen to something else haha...
