Look do dia: Chain necklace

Hey all. New outfit here. I received this cute chain necklace from Lightinthebox a couple of weeks ago and last week I had the chance to take some new pics for the blog. I was always curious about this style of necklace, since I loved to add it in my collages for outfits, but never had the chance to wear one of these myself. Most of the times I relate this style to hip hop rather than something grunge or even punk, though they used to wear necklaces like that, including a lock too. Classic punk accessory, in fact. But I decided to put it in a grunge/streetstyle here, in combination with a round skater dress from Forever 21.

Oi, gente! Look novo por aqui. Recebi esse colar da Lightinthebox umas semanas atrás e na anterior eu consegui tirar fotos para o blog. Eu sempre tive curiosidade por esse tipo de colar, já que sempre adorava adicioná-lo em minhas colagens de looks, mas nunca tive a oportunidade de usar um desses. Na maioria das vezes, eu vejo uma relação da peça com o universo do hip hop em vez de algo mais grunge ou até mesmo punk, apesar de eles terem usado muito colares desse tipo, incluindo um cadeado também. É um acessório punk bem clássico, na verdade. Mas resolvi tentar algo grunge/streetwear aqui, em combinação com um vestido rodado da Forever 21.

Usually when I added this necklace to an outfit collage I liked to combine black flare pants with cropped tops and an oversize blazer, kind of an Azealia Banks style on her 1991 clip. But then I don't have cropped tops (only a striped one) and any flare pants that would make it, so never mind it. I decided to feature this great denim jacket from Shein again, since I love it a lot as it's so comfortable and full of details - the patches are really interesting, in my opinion. I love the bigger one on the back and another one on the arm written 'Black hole'. :)

Normalmente quando eu adicionava esse colar nas minhas colagens de look eu gostava de combinar com calças flare e cropped tops com um blazer boyfriend, meio no estilo da Azealia Banks no clipe 1991. Mas eu não tenho cropped tops (só um listrado) e nem calças flare que dariam certo, então desencanei. Eu resolvi incluir de novo essa jaqueta da Shein, porque eu adoro ela e acho tão confortável e cheia de detalhes - os patches são bem interessantes, na minha opinião. Adoro o maiorzão nas costas, e o outro no braço escrito "Black hole". :)


The only criticism I could add about the necklace is that it's not made of metal, it's actually plastic. It doesn't look like plastic, but once you touch it, it's hard to forget. The good thing about this is that it's not going to be rusty and it's not as heavy as it could have been, but the dye is not that resistant too. Well, but for $5 there's not much you can ask for hahaha...

A única crítica que eu faria ao colar é que ele não é feito de metal, mas é plástico na verdade. Não parece, mas logo que você tocar nele, fica difícil esquecer. O bom lado disso é que não vai enferrujar e não é tão pesado quanto poderia ser, mas a tinta também não é assim tão resistente. Bom, mas por $5 você não pode pedir muita coisa hahah... Outro detalhe é que o frete é super rápido, EMS, e não tive que pagar taxa! Yay!

    Gostei mto do look, o vestido tb é lindo, ficou uma combinação ótima, tenho uma corrente parecida, mas a minha é um metal barato rs.

    Lindo o colar, mas fiquei chocada em saber que é plástico. Pelo menos pelas fotos não parece.. rs
